Xiaomi set to host first flash sale for 64GB Mi 4
Priced at Rs 23,999, Xiaomi Mi 4’s 64GB variant has the same features as its 16GB counterpart, barring the difference in storage capacities.

NEW DELHI: The 64GB variant of Xiaomi Mi 4 is set to make its India debut at 5pm today, as the company will host the first-ever flash sale for the model in the country. Registrations for the sale began last week on February 17.

The 16GB edition of Xiaomi Mi 4 will go on sale today at 3pm, two hours before the 64GB model.

Priced at Rs 23,999, Xiaomi Mi 4's 64GB variant has the same features as its 16GB counterpart, barring the difference in storage capacities. The chief rival of this smartphone in the Indian market is OnePlus One, whose 64GB variant can be purchased for Rs 21,999.
While Xiaomi Mi 4 is exclusively available on Flipkart, OnePlus One can be bought via Amazon only, that too via an invite.

The successor of Xiaomi Mi 3, the phone features a stainless steel metal frame and a 5-inch full HD display made by Sharp or JDI that has Corning Glass with One Glass Solution (OGS) technology protection. The phone also has changeable plastic back covers.

Xiaomi Mi 4 is powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and 3GB RAM. It runs MIUI 6, a new version of the company's operating system, based on Android 4.4 KitKat.

The smartphone sports a 13MP rear and 8MP front Sony stacked CMOS camera and a 3,080mAh battery. According to Xiaomi, the battery lasts one and a half day with normal usage and will offer quick charging, reaching 60% charge in an hour's time.

In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The phone doesn't support 4G data and NFC.
