Here is the secret to perfect summer legs

It's time to ditch your jeans and pants and flaunt those gorgeous legs. Here's how to get a pair of perfect pins this season.

Summer is on in full swing and it's time for you to bring out your favourite pairs of hot shorts and mini skirts. But before that, make sure that your legs look great. Unsightly marks, spider veins, cellulite and tanning can turn your summer look into a nightmare. Follow our tips on getting perfect pins.

Say no to cellulite
Most women are apprehensive about wearing short dresses because of cellulite on their thighs. If you want the cellulite to disappear, opt for a cream or lotion that contains caffeine and massage it daily into your skin before you retire for the night. Also remember to cut down on salt. 

Get rid of stretch marks
Another cause for concern are horrid stretch marks that appear on the back of the knees and calves. To make sure they vanish, heat pure ghee in a pan and massage it on the area for a good 10 to 15 minutes. If the marks are deep, visit a dermatologist.

Remove spider veins
Spider veins are gnarled, enlarged veins. Sclerotherapy is considered to be the ideal treatment. It is a procedure where medication is injected into the vein wall to help it disintegrate.

Exfoliation is a must
If you thought that exfoliation is restricted to the face, you are wrong. Your legs need exfoliation too. To make sure that your legs are smooth, use a thick scrub made either from walnut or almond and apply it all over. Leave it on for some time and wash off.

Protect from tanning
If you are wearing something short, chances are that your legs may get a little tanned. Use a paste made from yogurt and rose water and apply this on your legs before you go in for a shower. Wash it off and then apply a moisturiser.

Sunscreen is a must
Apart from home treatments, make sure that you use sunscreen on your legs before you step outside your home. The sunscreen will ensure that your legs are protected from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. But also remember to reapply the sunscreen after every two hours. Choose a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 and above.

Opt for hair removal
To avoid the hassle of in-grown hair, it's better to go in for a laser therapy. But if you do not wish to go in for laser treatment, head to the salon for a wax or do it yourself at home. The best natural hair removal method for your legs is hot wax.

Moisturise regularly
Your legs won't look their best if you don't moisturise them on a regular basis. So, before you go off to bed every night, make it a point to lather a generous amount of lotion or a thick cream on your legs. You will notice the difference in just a few days.
