Here's a guide to keep your skin fresh and healthy this summers

With the summer season already raising the mercury levels, problems related to skin and health have already started. But you can avoid most of these problems by spending a little more time in taking care of your skin. Here are a few helpful tips on how you can do that -

Cover up: Wear full clothes to avoid getting direct sunburn or tanning your skin. Use a good SPF 30 cream on your face and body to protect yourself from harmful UV rays.

Eat healthy: Eating healthy is important in summers, especially drinking lots of water and juices, to keep your skin healthy and glowing from within. Stock up on broccoli and sweet potatoes.

Take care of those lips: If you thought that winters were the only enemy of your beautiful lips, think again. Summers too, can result in parched, dried lips. To avoid this, make sure you drink a lot of fluids. Use a lip balm which contains shea butter or beeswax to help them from getting dry.

Avoid using too much perfume: Perfumes and deodorants are essential for the summer season. But too much of them can result in dry, scaly skin. Use mild soaps and face washes to avoid itching.

Ice packs: Using ice packs over burnt skin, mosquito bites or inflamed skin will relieve one from the burns.
