Micromax launches A24, A37B and A46–Priced Rs. 3k-4.7k

Micromax seems in no mood to lose on its solid market share in India. In order to maintain its entry level portfolio, Micromax has introduced three new smarphones to its lineup – A24, A37B and A46. All these smartphones will join the Bolt come under the Bolt moniker, a low-end Android smartphone series from Micromax. These smartphones are already available on different online retailers, priced between Rs. 2,999 to Rs. 4,792.
Starting with the budget-iest Android device we’ve come to see lately, Micromax A24 runs on the oh-so-old Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A5 processor and has a 2.8 inch QVGA screen (240x320 pixels, 143 ppi). Other features include 256 MB of RAM, 512 MB of internal storage and a micro sd card slot. There is a paltry 0.3 MP rear camera, which, we are sure, would be good for nothing. Even with these specs, we aren’t really in a situation to complain as Micromax has priced it at a dirt cheap price of Rs. 3000 ($50). Bolt A24 will surely outdo any non-Android phone priced similarly with its connectivity options, as it supports EDGE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Micromax A37B and A46, the other two recently launched devices, are both pretty similarly nutritioned when it comes down to their specs. Both these devices run on the Android 4.2 JB operating system, are dual SIM with 3G support, have 256 MB of RAM, 512 MB ROM, micro sd slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 2 MP rear camera. One of the two major differences we have are that in the screen sizes and resolution. Micromax A37B has a 3.5” screen with 320x480 resolution (165 ppi) while Micromax A46 has a better 4” screen with 480x800 resolution (233 ppi). The other difference is that A46 comes with a 1.2 GHz MT6572 dual core processor while A37B comes with a 1 GHz dual core MT6572M processor.

Micromax A24 is already available on Flipkart for Rs. 2,999 while Infibeam is retailing Bolt A37B for Rs. 4,729. Snapdeal is offering the third one, i.e. Micromax Bolt A46 for INR 4,592.
