Set realistic goals and start on a small note
One step at one time - that should be your mantra. You need to understand that when you are making lifestyle changes, you are running a marathon not a 100m sprint. Don't get into the trap of starting too fast and too soon. If you make walking as part of your daily routine then start from a daily schedule 15-20 minutes of walking and gradually move on to longer time. Starting on a small note gives you a sense of confidence and achievement which is very essential.

Have fun while staying active
You don't particularly enjoy sweating it out in an air-conditioned gym. Don't lose heart. There are many other ways to stay active. Join a dance class if you think that's a fun 'stay fit' activity that keeps you going. If you love your share of outdoor game, then play a game of cricket, tennis or soccer. Find out your true fitness calling and stick to it.

Who says healthy food is boring? Be innovative and let your imagination reflect on your healthy platter. There are many foodblogs where you can find a host of delicious healthy recipes. Try it out and make your platter interesting.
