IIT JEE Advanced 2015: Mock Seat Allocation To Begin Tommorow


IIT JEE Advanced 2015: The Joint Seat Allocation for Admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institute of Technology (NIT) began on July 1, after being postponed foe a week. This is the first time that the seat allocation is being conducted jointly for IITs and NITs. The process of Mock seat allocation for JEE Advanced 2015 is all set to begin tomorrow. Mock seat allocation for JEE Advanced e mock seat allocation will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2015. Allocation/Validation will be done on Monday, July 6, 2015.

On Day One of the joint admission process, around 58,000 candidates registered and filled almost 21 lakh choices, of which 13,000 students filled 5.6 lakh choices for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). More than 11 lakh candidates are supposed to participate for around 34,000 seats in 85 government-funded technical institutes.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which conducts the JEE Main, issued the JEE Main Paper I and Paper II ranks to the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) at 10 pm on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. The top three ranks in JEE Main 2015 have been acquired by students from the Maharashtra state.
The topper has scored 345 marks out of 360 in the Mains and 97.80% in his CBSE Class XII boards. The second position holder obtained 335 in the Mains and 95.85% in the HSC examination. The third ranker got 321 in Mains and 98% in CBSE.
The delay was caused because CBSE had not announced the JEE Main 2015 Paper 1 and Paper 2 as scheduled.
