Chris Gayle smashes double century! West Indies vs Zimbabwe, ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: Watch Video Highlights of Gayle’s 200

Chris Gayle century
West Indies star player Chris Gayle becomes the first player to hit a double century in World Cup. He scored 205 runs off 139 deliveries including 10 fours and 16 sixes against Zimbabwe at Manuka Oval. This is also the first century by a non-Indian player. West Indies opener Chris Gayle finally after a string of failures made his bat talk. The 35-year-old Chris Gayle smashed a blistering double century in 138 deliveries. He finished his hundred in 105 deliveries including five boundaries and equal number of sixes in match 15 of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Gayle shared a brilliant partnership with Marlon Samuels to revive West Indies after they lost a quick wicket in the first over.
It was Chris Gayle’s 22nd ODI century of his career. It was not the typical Gayle innings, but was knock mixed with both caution and aggression. The left-hander took his time to settle down and scored an almost run a ball hundred.  Gayle was lucky to survive a close appeal for leg before in the very first over when the umpire ruled him not out, but the ball was hitting actually hitting wickets. Nevertheless, this must be a breather for West Indies camp to see their dashing opener get to the three figure mark.
In the match 15 taking place at Manuka Oval, Canberra, both West Indies and Zimbabwe are coming off the wins against Pakistan and United Arab Emirates respectively with second straight victory in sight.
