Sunidhi’s year packed with performances

Sunidhi Chauhan has no time for anything save music, these days. The powerhouse performer has been on a roll with back-to-back international and domestic shows, including her act at the Mirchi Music Awards. The past couple of months have seen her perform in Dubai and Hong Kong, besides Australia and New Zealand, where she spent 10 days this month doing shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Auckland and Melbourne. Soon, she is headed to Singapore and Malaysia for more shows.

Says Sunidhi, "The last month was crazy. All of our shows were unbelievable. Our first show was in Brisbane and I didn't want it to get over. It's great to receive so much love, and my band and I are having a great time."

It's hectic of course, she says. "The kind of energy I put into my performance, it completely drains me out. But, the audience's love helps me come back." She has also had no time to spend with family, who are upset, but work's priority right now. "In Australia, I had a three-day break and there too, I recorded songs in my room," she reveals. She came back and immediately went to work, recording for Wajid Khan and Arbaaz Khan.

Currently on a nine-city tour across India, she is clueless about her next break. "I am touring, I'm recording for serials and movies, there are my performances — everything is clashing. But I am loving it," she says. "At least, wherever I go and whatever work I have, I don't have to bother about taking care of my hair," she concludes wittily, referring to her new crop hairstyle.
