Include these foods in your diet to increase your brain power.

Green tea: According to several studies, drinking green tea helps improve cognitive function. However, don't have it in excess and stick to one or two cups per day.

Salmon: Omega-3 fats found in fatty fish like salmon and tuna have been found to directly affect memory. According to a study conducted in US, those who ate the fish at least once a week had a 10% slower decline in memory than those without salmon in their diet.

Blueberries: Various studies have linked blueberries to improved memory and cognitive function. A certain plant compound found in blueberries called anthocyanins is said to help reverse some of the age-related memory loss.

Oatmeal: This high-fibre food also contains folic acid that can help improve the power of your brain. Other whole grain cereals are also a good source of folic acids.

Turmeric: Turmeric not only enhances your food's colour but also contains inflammation-fighting antioxidants that are said to help your brain perform better.

Broccoli: The antioxidants found in veggies like broccoli are known to help your body retain memory function. Other green vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower, spinach etc are also provide similar benefits.
